TLC for my feet

"One pair of shoes is never enough" Sounds familiar? Which women don't love shoes?? Shoes are like diamonds, girls 'Best Friend'!

In our life, we will have multiple pairs of shoes. High ones, flat ones, pretty ones, comfy ones.. and the list goes on. And I love shoes as much as I love diamonds :) But, I have one problem: I cannot wear pointed shoes or high heels (which are my favorite.. double sadness)

Reason being: I have flat feet and (irritating) bunion. And this had deprived me from wearing my favorite heels. As such, there are so many times that I brought pairs of pretty heels and thinking that it my feet will try to adapt to it but in the end, it's my shoes that will be placed in the storeroom. Not getting to see the light ever again :(

I'm not sure if you know what is bunion and how it's formed. Let me share alittle with you here:
Bunion is like you are having a little 'bump' on the side of your big toe or small toe (aka a "bunionette"). It's actually formed either by 1) hereditary genetic condition called overpronation or 2) wrong footwear.

Yea, you see it right. Bunion is like the 'extra' bone. It can be rather painful if you continue to wear wrong footwear. I'm not sure when my feet started to have bunion, very sure it's not genetic coz my mum does not have it. I think it was formed when I'm in primary school. I remember how the side of my school shoes (at the big toe side) will start to wear out and there will be a hole there. >.<"

So being young and ignorant, I ignored that 'bump' and it started to grow. But thank God mine is still not as worst & painful as others. I do have friends that have very bad bunions. Their big toes literally overlap with their 2nd toe! And so if you have bunions, there are a few things you can take note to prevent it from becoming worst:

1) Wear lower heels (less than 2 inch?)
I know this may be difficult, especially for those that love super high heels. But for the sake of your feet, give it a little TLC by wearing something lower. 

2) Wear comfy shoes
This differ from individuals. To some, covered shoes are comfortable, to some, slippers are comfortable. So rule of thumb is to try out the shoes, and make sure that it is comfortable. For me, I can't wear sneakers for too long, my feet will hurt.

3) Buy custom orthotics
Ok, this one I must say.... it doesn't work for me. I've tried and tested. This thing cost me about $300+? And I use it less than 10 times. The reason for the lack of usage is because this can only be used when you wear covered shoes! How to use this when you are wearing sandals or open toe heels? Unless you are those that wear covered shoes wherever you go, you can try this. If not, don't bother.

4) Run lesser
I'm not asking you to be lazy here. Running is not only bad for your feet but also your knee & hip joint. Instead, try yoga or swimming which provide less stress to your feet.

I'm loving it :).. The shoes are so comfortable. As a flat feet person, this shoes really give TLC to my feet. The one I got is this:

Nice eh! It's in deep navy shade. They are really very comfortable and I'm so glad i've found something I can wear without having a 'bad feet-day'.

You can check out their website and they've lots of pretty and comfortable flats. Their wedges are also very comfortable. There's only 1 outlet in Singapore which is at Wisma. No harm popping by to try them. It's worth to invest in good shoes :)

I do feel warm after pasting this. Went to bed with this and peel off the next morning. Basically it also do detoxing. You know how the patch goes black after you peel off. Apparently the black stuff are believe to be the dirty stuff in our body. Do i feel different after applying? Not quite, maybe need to use a few more times to feel it?

 3) Venetrim - Vein Reducing Cream

 

Happy! They are so generous to give a retail size for this product! This is selling @ $79 in stores. This will really come useful for ladies in their mid- twenties. Believe me, we not only need to take care of our face but the very important area that ladies always neglect are our hands and legs. The secret to knowing a woman's age is by looking at her hands and feet.

This product is designed to address problems related to chronic venous insufficiency.. (a condition that may cause symptoms which include swollen legs, varicose veins, leg cramps and pains, itchiness, skin ulcers and broken capillaries) It states that results will be seen after 1-2 weeks of use. So i shall start using and update if results are visible. :)

And oh, they also have Venetrim - Push UP! Yea, it's a cream for breast, neck and tummy. The ingredients will stimulate the body’s production of collagen and elastin which in turn boosts the skin’s elasticity. This sounds good... no more sagging skin as we age. ;p

4) IPI LightMAX Ampoule Mask:

Ok, personally i can't wait to try this product. I'm been into mask recently and this mask look 'deliciously' good. By that I don't mean I'm going to eat it, but it looks so rich and nourishing for my face.

What is I.P.I? = Intense perfection light
Basically, they use to make our skin brighter.

Korean are really good at making mask. This product is under Hansaegee Nature who sells Leaders Clinic Masks. Believe you all have heard of Leaders Clinic and their masks reviews are always so good based on those who've tried them. I'll try them and review on it again!

5) Bourjois - Queen Attitude Khol liner

I love this! It's small, handy and convenient.

You see how they present their eye liner? Nice isn't it? Aww... They just launch this not too long. It's not like those liquid eye liner, it's more dry and easy to apply. The design really stands out among my makeup items. It stays well and doesn't smug. Really worth getting one if you are looking for eye liner.

6) DHC samples
 

This sample consists:
- Cleansing oil

I'm back!

Yes! Finally i'm done with most of my priorities for now. I've been busy with my Final Theory test and also my Property Agent exam. So, I've passed my final theory and now waiting to take traffic police test in Dec. What a long wait!

BakeOff Success!

Yea! The BakeOff event had completed successfully last Sunday. It's quite an interesting experience for me. Baking 150 cookies are no joke! I can feel cramps on my arms and legs the next day. But all it's worth is for a good cause! Here's some pics on the day of the event:

New Addition

I've not been updating for quite awhile.. As i'm busy doing researching for my Japan trip this coming October, still deciding on the number of days to spent there.. (excitied!)

As my title speaks, yea.. i've a new addition to my family. No, it's not a baby.. but a new cat! This cat seems fated to be with us.. we got her when i'm visiting my mum at her place. That fateful night, while we were waiting for a cab to go home, we saw her jumping out of a bush. She just kept meowing at us when she saw us. Knowing she's hungry, we decided to feed her the pizza we've got. I would say that it's "Love at 1st sight" for Tim. He immediately asked if we would want to bring this cat home! I was like.... "huh? how to? just carry her home in a cab without a carrier??" And so, we sat there for awhile and think whether to bring her back. And we say.."Ok, if she were to follow us to the road side while we wait for a cab, we will bring her back.." And the rest is history...

So we carried her back home in a cab! When we reached home, as usual, both Xiao Bai & Mika is curious about this new addition. We brought her to the guest bathroom and let her stay for the night. The very next day, Tim bathe her and put frontline on her to prevent any ticks from infecting the other 2 cats. As she meow so much.. we decided to call her: "Noi noi" = noisy cat. I know it sounds cliche.. but we feel that this name suit her well :p

We've also brought her to the vet to de-worm and to ensure she's in pink of health. Turn out that she is still a kitten, not more than 1 year of age. After clearing the checkup, we brought her home to settle down with the other 2 cats at home. The 1st few days were bad, Mika and Noi Noi don't seems to get along too well. They often growl & hissed at each other. As usual, Xiao Bai been the old and calm cat doesn't seems to bother too much with this new addition. As long as she don't go and disturb him, he's alright with her. As times goes by, thing seems to get better between the 2 female cats. And now, 2 weeks down the road, both of them are like best of friends. They would play with each other, chase each other around the house, play hide & seeks, share their food and sleep together.

Noi noi seems like a perfect playing mate for Mika. Since both are young and full of energy, they do keep each other occupied throughout the day. And Xiao Bai will just sit there and watch them play (as usual).. And i think he's glad that Mika don't bother him too much since she got Noi Noi to play with. >.<
