Been missing for awhile

The past 3 months has been real busy and exciting for me.

First up: Went to San Francisco during October for work. Really love the place and people. San Francisco has such divest culture and they have about 45% population of Asians. The varieties of food is also awesome. Normally chinese food in western country are not really good, but you can find real good chinese food in San Francisco.

The weather there is so cooling.. Average temperature of 15 degree. Awww... no sweat :)

The famous Golden Gate Bridge.. Reminds me of the movie "Planet of the Apes"

Nice view.... :)
Pier 39! Where all the seals gather and rest. It's an awesome sight.. thought smelly, but still the sight is awesome.

Was at San Francisco for about 2 weeks and shortly after I'm back.. I'm off to Korea again!

This time is a company guided trip. Went to a few places that I never go by myself when I was there during May:
Seoul Tower - Teddy bear museum.

The museum is abit small, just 2 small rooms and you are done. It show cast the different tradition of Korea from last time till the 20th century.

Then we went to Nami Island:
Look at the colors... so pretty!! It was the last week of spring before all the leaves fell in preparation
for winter. So we are blessed to still see these beautiful leaves before it drops off.

 Remember "Winter Sonata" drama?

Ok.. last picture with the pretty leave:

One of the interesting thing we got to do for this guided trip is to visit some Snow city and make our own Ice Cup.. This is the ice cube are are support to work on..

And the result~~ .... TADA!!

Not bad right... my very own ice cup that can hold abit of water... :p
Some of the ice sculpture in the mini snow city...

We also went to see the famous "JUMP" show. It was quite funny, a martial arts comedy.

Because this was only a 4-day guided tour, we have limited time for shopping. So when I managed to go to Myeongdong, I put on my black belt and SHOP!! We only have 3 hrs... and I was very focus in going to the different shops to get my yearly supplies of Korea skincare. :)

And so.. I'm a happy person coz I've got all the stuff I needed from Korea..

So after coming back from Korea, I'm off to Australia again for work.. it has been a real busy but fruitful month. Will share more about my Australia trip in my next post then.. Bye for now

Out of context??

Many had seen the youtube video about CHC pastor preaching about God apologizing to His people. Thanks to @anointedforworship who had conveniently cut out a small portion (3.28mins long) sermon and upload it on the internet media and allow people to criticized the video.

Out of curiosity, I went to look at this @anointedforworship youtube uploads and seems like he himself is a Christian. So it left me wondering why is he doing this - by putting up a short video clip of the sermon and leading people to misunderstand the content of the sermon. Before he uploaded it, I believe that he had seen the entire video? If yes, why is he only cutting out this portion and upload to youtube? Are you trying to have lure more viewership on your youtube account so that you can be the next Psy? (*roll eyes*)

Based on his description of this video:
"This video is up for 'research or study, criticism or review"

May I know what kind of research or studies are you trying to get from your viewership. Criticism? Do we need more of that in this situation?

At one hand you are worshiping God with your talent in music and at the other, you are allowing disunity and criticism among His people. So what are you trying to show? Didn't you read from your Bible that a double minded man is unstable in ALL his ways? Make up your mind.. what do you stand for? Don't show yourself as someone that loves worshiping God yet at the same time stirring disunity among His people.

If you want attention, go seek elsewhere. Don't try to act spiritual and a "as if you know if it all" attitude in the media sphere.. Disgusted!

Tom's Cat Cafe

As the title had describe, I visited Tom's cat cafe in Korea after reading blog posts about them
The interior is really a Cats' playground. Look at those ladders on the ceiling. Cats living here must be damn happy.
This is the 1st cat to greet us when we seat down. (Like a Boss)

And so we started to walk around the cafe. It's not very big.. maybe about the size of a 5-room apartment. Cats in there are just lazing around or playing with the customers.

Feel like hugging this bugger big time!! Look at the fluffy fur!!

This little one here is extremely needy.. just stare at me and meow.. Even attempt to climb on me.

Looks like he/she has a sibling here..

So cute right.. This cat got droopy ears.. awwww

They are having a gathering outside the kitchen
Look at the innocent face.. just feel like bringing one home..

This is batman in the form of a cat. ;p

This pair is mother and kid. The mother is nursing it while i took this photo. The kitty cat is so skinny :(

I tried to wake this cat up.. but it just conveniently ignored me. >.<

There are about 20+ cats there. All these cats are street cats that they rescued and there are 2 kittens kept in a cage as they are too weak to be let out. In order to seat in the cafe, you just have to order drinks or snacks from their menu and you can sit as long as you like. I wonder if I open a cat cafe here in Singapore, will it survived? :p

So if you're visiting Korea, you can drop by this cafe to have a drink and play with the cats:

Hongik University Station, line 2, exit 9. Walk up the road leading towards Hongdae playground. The cat cafe is across from the Art Box store, on the 3rd floor.

Korea - Part 2

Ok.. more photos from the Korea trip.. 1st up... food!!! Lots of them... yummy!

Korea pancake.. one of my fav. They taste different in Singapore, much nicer. But it was not cheap, this cost about S$15.

This nice dish was ordered by accident.. I wanted to order bibimbap, this is also bibimbap but its beansprout bibimbap. Look at the different color of the beansprout.. so beautiful.. this is call - Happy Eating :)

I always wanted to try the authentic ginseng chicken.. and here we are:

These 2 are different soup base.. The clear soup one is much better (2nd pic). The 1st one tasted too thick and strong. They put in one whole chicken in with stuffed glutinous rice. It is not as nice as I thought it was.. but some people swear by their korea ginseng chicken. >.<  This cost about S$20 per chicken.. quite expensive..

This is abalone porridge.. it tasted ok.. not fantastic.. cost about S$10

So after all eating, it's time for some shopping. The most worthy things to buy in Korea is non other than their facial products. Clothes and shoes are not cheap though..

Too cool for school shop.. Basically all their product has very nice packaging & it's somehow related to school theme..
Brought a orange lip stick + lip gloss.. and they give 2 small samples. Facial wash and moisturizer.
Here's the loots (this picture does not show everything I've brought, only part of it)... I was not a skin food fan before I go Korea.. but after this trip.. I'm loving skinfood products.. but.. I will not buy in Singapore.. The price is way too expensive here! For eg: brown sugar face scrub - 300g, it cost S$80 in Singapore, but in Korea I only paid S$16!!! Can you imagine the price difference! So I decided to buy 4 tubes.. (1 of them not shown in the picture because I was using it in Korea :p ) So, I've compared the prices for Faceshop & Skinfood with Singapore and the conclusion is Skinfood has the highest % of savings if you were to buy in Korea compared to Singapore. And like many of us know, they love to give lots of free samples... another plus point.

Another good place to shop will be their Daiso!! They've so many things that Singapore Daiso do no carry. And the Daiso that I went to it's 4 storey! Imagine the happiness on my face :D Most of their stuff are selling at 1000 won which is only S$1.12... CHEAP!!! So I also brought lots of stuff there (heee...)

So now you know why I say Korea is a shopping paradise for ladies. :)

Back from Korea!!

Hi All, just came back from Korea not too long ago and man... that place is paradise for girls! The facial products are way much cheaper than what we have in Singapore.

Yea.. so I spent 6 days 5 nights in Korea. The weather was good as it is cooling. Though it rained for a 1 or 2 days, but overall, it's still alright.

The hotel that I stayed in is called Hotel The SunBee. It was quite centralize as it is located in Insadong itself. When we 1st arrived, we could not find the hotel as it is ''hidden'' in a corner. But once you know your way around, you will consider this hotel to be in a very good location. It was about 10mins walk from the metro and we got lost on the 1st day we arrived.

As this is my 1st time in Korea, I can say I am very impress with the people there. They are so friendly and helpful. So, we got lost, and we approach a gentleman. And this gentleman was also not too sure where the hotel is located and in turn he went to ask the police (yes, there's a police station nearby). So, in the end, we got 6 people helping us to locate the hotel. I was blown away by their attitude. They can just conveniently say they do not know the place and walked away.. but NO, they help us call the hotel and one of them even walked us to the hotel... talk about nice people... They are really NICE!!

Ok, so after a overnight flight, I am super hungry. We decided to walk along Insadong and find a authentic Korea restaurant...

The side dishes are yummy.. I love the pickles.. :)

This is beef broth... very yummy clear soup

Korean style dumpling... not too good.. :(

My fav!! Spicy tofu soup with rice... awwww.. think of it makes me drool....

So after filling the hungry tummies, we went to once of their palace: Gyeongbokgung Palace

It's about S$3 per entry.. cheap cheap.

Nice view eh.... the palace is HUGE!!!

This is the throne of the king..

Our English speaking guide that explains to us about the history of this palace.. The tour is free :)

Some lake in the palace...

Nice flowers...

So after the palace tour, we went back to walk around in Insadong. They are selling some funny shape ice-cream which has super long Q.. We did not try as the weather is quite cold... so give it a miss.
Insadong Street:

Ok.. that's all for now.. Will update again on the rest of the days in Korea... I've brought lots of facial products... (love) ;p
